John Watson

John Watson is an experienced industry lawyer with a background in licensing, compliance and corporate due diligence.

John spent many years as a senior corporate attorney running the US Mergers and Acquisitions activity for a major UK engineering company.

More recently, he has his own business and provides consulting services for corporate clients in the gambling industry as well as other sectors. Johns clients have included Smith & Wesson (US gun control litigation), European Development Bank (Privatisation in Belarus), Yorkshire Electric (Analysis of acquisition and consolidation opportunities).

John is currently working on the UK licensing of a major private equity transaction in the gambling industry. He writes regularly for and is regulatory content director for Gambling Compliance, a leading on-line information provider to the Gambling Industry, has appeared in other industry magazines such as Coinslot, and is a speaker and moderator at regulatory conferences.
